A Hot and Wild Dinner - With Story

Description

“They may have been your friends... or even family... but now... they are your worst enemy. There will be no consulting with the enemy!”

The words may have changed slightly, depending on whose mouth they came out of, but the message was there, clear as day and cutting right to the point for the pandaren. Those who had made their choice to join either the Alliance or the Horde now had to accept that they would have to fight their own people, because of this choice.

Some accepted this, and found themselves on the fields of battle, trading blows with familiar faces. Others were not so accepting, keeping themselves out of the pointless conflicted between the two sides as much as they could. And some completely ignored what they had been told to do and continued their communications with their friends who had allied themselves with who they were suppose to consider their enemy.

Off the coast of the Eastern Kingdom, within the Kelp’thar forest of Vashj’ir, two pandaren met face to face on the small outcrop of land near the sunken location. Both looked completely identical in physical appearance, from their style of hair to their belly, poking out from their clothing. The only minor difference was a small sliver of hair, which was coloured differently. But both had major and visiable differences with what they wore. One of them, whose hair had a streak of orange through it, bore the tabard of the Alliance, adorned with equipment of a shaman. The other wore the colours of the Horde and the garb of that of a hunter.

Both of them stared for a moment, hands gripping tightly on their weapons. Then, without hesitation, they both dropped their weapons to the ground as they embraced each other in a hug.

“It has been a while, Kim, since I last saw you.” the pandaren shaman smiled.

“Huh. And here I was thinking you’d forgotten what I looked like, Linh.” Replied the hunter, grinning.

Kim and Linh Tenderbelly, twins from the Wandering Isle. Since the time they learned how to walk, they had great differences. While Linh would read scrolls from morning to dusk, Kim would be out chasing Virmen in an attempt to make one a pet. When the choice for them came to either join the Horde or Alliance, it was no surprise that Linh would join the side which featured a more calm approach, while Kim eagerly set off to follow the pandaren joining the Horde.

Over time, both of them became powerful in their own ways. Linh, becoming focused on the powers of Firelands and what they held, showed more and more skill with commanding the flames in devastating elemental attacks. Kim, bold as she had always been (or perhaps a little out there), encountered the lost creatures of Un’goro Crater.

Since then, she has spent many a week within the crater, watching and taming the various ancient lizards. Many stable masters found themselves worried whenever she returned with a new devilsaur behind her, as they often lose a stable hand or two, devoured while she ventures off only to bring back another dinosaur.

Even though they were suppose to consider each other enemies, they still met with each other in locations far from prying eyes to trade stories of their adventures and sights. But after a recent meeting where the two were almost discovered, they decided to meet in more secluded areas, far from where the both the Horde and Alliance had any strong presence. Vashj’ir proved to be one such area, where although the naga threat had been dealt with, both sides had yet to establish a strong hold on the tiny strip of land.

“I see you still haven’t burnt all your fur off just yet.” Kim teased as the pair of them sat on the shore.
“Oh, and I assume you are faring better? How many stable hands got swallowed by your dinosaurs since we last met?” Linh replied.

“...Nearly a dozen.” Kim answered, biting her lip as she suppressed a giggle. “It’s not my fault they don’t know how to care for them.”

The two of them would spend hours talking and teasing each other, forgetting the conflict around the world as they enjoy the peace, avoiding the topic about the war all together. Instead, they traded information about things that interest them. The power of the Firelands for Linh, new sightings of dinosaurs on Pandaria for Kim and of course, food for both of them. If it was at least one thing they could agree upon was their love of food.

As the hours passed, the day turned to a warm night and the water in front of them became more tempting. A refreshing swim in the cool ocean soon appeared to be a shared idea between the twins, but it was Linh who was hesitating to dive in.

“I... didn’t bring the right clothing for swimming. I don’t want to get... my... Kim!” she started explaining, only to notice her twin was stripping down completely in front of her.

“What? We are in a secluded area. We aren’t going to be spied on.” Kim responded, tossing the last of her clothing to the ground before bouncing into the water. “Come on, what is stopping you?”

Linh stood still for a moment, watching her twin swim around in the waters, completely bare before finally smiling and following by example. Stripping herself of her garments, blushing slightly, she followed her twin into the water.
“See? Who needs clothes? This is MUCH better.” Kim called out, swimming backwards.

“...Talking from experience?” her twin replied with a grin.

“Oh! Oh! Look at you. And here I thought you were always ‘Miss Serious’. Kim gasped before laughing and splashing Linh.
The splashing soon erupting into a full out play battle between them, with the two of them splashing water constantly into the other’s face. Linh even brought her powers of the shaman into it, using her limited knowledge of the water to send a wave onto her twin. It was a weak wave, consider that the shaman was more focused into unleased flames and magma instead of water onto her foes. Kim responded by throwing kelp back at her.

“Ack! Ew! Ew! Get it off!” Linh shrieked, flailing about as she threw off the kelp that landed on her, all the while Kim laughed loudly at the reaction. “Not funny! It’s gross!”

“Serves you right for using you fancy pants shaman spells on me.” Came the reply. Kim grinned for a moment before stopping, looking down at the water. “What the...” she started before looking up again, grinning. “Alright... What have you done this time?”

Tossing off the last of the kelp, Linh looked over to her twin, a slight confused look on her face at what she had asked. She had been too busy peeling kelp off her to had done anything. “W-what are you talking about?”
“I know it is you who has done it. What did you do? Talked to the animal spirits? Convinced a water elemental?”
“Kim... I don’t know what you are talking about.”
Kim paused for a moment, trying to see if her twin was playing dumb with her. It was difficult to tell though, as she was known to be serious about things. Very rarely would she attempt to be silly. “...didn’t you... send something to brush my legs?”
“....no?”

Both of them stared at each other, gently bobbing in the water, as realization crossed their faces. They weren’t alone.
Before either of them could react, a spray of water broke the surface behind Linh, as a figure emerged from beneath. At first glance, one would immediately assume it was a naga, for the creature bore fins on its head, scales appearing on its body from the waist down. But closer examination would reveal a lot more. The top half of the creature’s body resembled that of a human female, rather the scales and form of a naga. With long dark violet hair draping down her back, small triangle-like markings under its left eye and a collar with some writing on it, it was clear this was not a naga at all.
But for the twins, they didn’t get much of a chance to marvel or examine the creature, as it had appeared right behind Linh, who could only let out a gasp as the creature grabbed onto her, opening its mouth as it moved down onto the pandaren’s head.....

To be continued....
